L’Oréal’s silver-hair sniper
L’Oréal has created a hair coloring technology that detects and dyes only gray and white hair – like a silver-hair sniper.
This could be a currently undisclosed feature in L’Oréal’s upcoming hair color device -Colorsonic.
How do I know that?
Well, my team discovered the patent that discusses this gray hair eliminating comb, and its patent images resemble the design of the Colorsonic-

The gray hair coloring comb (US20230240422A1) has a dye-filled cartridge (similar to Colorsonic) and a processor that can scan and pinpoint the exact location of undesired hair color as per the setting.
It marks the pixels on the image and then, using hollow bristles, precisely applies color to the selected areas only.
This would promote healthier hair by limiting chemical exposure to only the grey strands and assuage consumers’ need for limited chemical exposure.
